I want an iPhone for my Birthday!

I can no longer avoid it, I really REALLY really want an iPhone. Then it hit me... My birthday is coming up! So peeps, be nice and buy me one for my "hey kid welcome to the world and by the way life sucks but you can't go back in there" day! The good news is that you can just buy the box and give it to me, you don't have to worry about activation or any of that crap!

PS: I kinda want the 8 gig version but I'll settle for the 4 gig one. ;)

WM6 for the BlackJack

I WANT. So far it's only for Russia and the Netherlands. WTF, OVER?

F*ck MATT!

This audio file is not safe for work. In fact it's not safe for anywhere that you might be where you could possibly get in trouble for laughing out loud. The participants will necessarily remain anonymous but you may recognize some of them...

Listen, enjoy, and be happy. (My apologies for the WMA format, this is how it was given to me.)

My Learning Style

Apparently my learning style is "Visual/Verbal" according to this online test. While I was answering the questions I felt like my answers were all over the place and I was going to get the same result that I normally get from personality tests ("you are in the middle!") but this one turned out to have some good suggestions for me - including "make use of computer word processing. Copy key information from your notes and textbook into a computer." I have used this in the past to help me study and it always seemed that it was the experience of copying the stuff rather than the result that helped me the most.

Cool.

Life Lessons, Not BS.

Unfortunately you can't tell any of these things to someone younger because they probably think they already have it figured out and they don't need your help. (Gott knows I did.) From the article:

"I don’t buy the romantic notion that my life has been somehow richer or more interesting because of all the times I screwed up; nor that the mistakes were “put” there to help me learn. I made them myself—through ignorance, fear, and a dumb wish to have everyone like me—and life and work would have been less stressful and more enjoyable (and certainly more successful) without them. So here are some of the things I wish I had learned long ago."

Equilibrium, Bad-ass Movie

PSA: If you haven't seen Equilibrium scope this clip then beat it down to Blockbuster and rent it TONIGHT. (Unless you're the BT type, but if you are then it's likely you've already seen it 20x anyway.)

Cute Knut

I guess I'm the last person on earth to hear about Knut, the cutest bear cub in the world (apparently.) I saw a story on TV about him last night and I've decided I want one.

That being said I just want every one to remember that bears are a danger to your kids online.

Best Buy Geek Squad Porn Stealers

This article contains a video that The Consumerist did as a "sting" operation to see if computer techs really do steal personal files from the machines they work on. Having worked in tech support before I can tell you that yes, this does happen although it's not fair to say that ALL computer techs do it. Curiosity is human nature but if you're a real professional I hope you can resist the urge to snoop and just get the job done. (PS: If you have sensitive files on your computer you should really use TrueCrypt - it's free and it's worth learning. Just don't set it to auto mount any of the encrypted drives or remember your passwords!)
